BuyText Box: Having Our Say
Directed by Fred Motley
January 15,16, 2010, 7:30pm
and January 17 at 3:00pm

The play opens as 103-year-old Sadie Delany, played by Karla Mitchell,
and 101-year-old Bessie Delany, played by Laquita Lipscomb, welcome
us into their Mount Vernon, New York, home. As they prepare a celebratory dinner in remembrance of their father's birthday, they take us on a remarkable journey through the last hundred years of our nation's history and careers as pioneering African-American professionals. Their story is not simply African-American history or women's history, but it is our history, told through the eyes of two unforgettable women as they look not only to the past, but also ahead into the twenty-first century.

Yesterday and Today

A Unique Interactive Beatles Experience

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

Kirby Theater

From the same artist that brought us Buddy Holly last season, we now invite you to rock and roll to the music of the Beatles in an all new interactive concert experience where the audience creates the play list EVERY NIGHT! There is no denying that everyone has a Beatles song attached to an event in their life. Through laughter and personal stories, Yesterday & Today connects the audience and performers in a way like none other. Each performance becomes a unique and remarkable event. With dead-on musical precision and stunning set designs, The Kirby Theater will be immersed in the sights, sounds, and memories of the 1960s.
